Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a session?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long.

How long will therapy take to work?

It depends. Length of treatment will vary based on your specific goals, needs, and focus. Some people are in therapy for as little as a few months to address specific goals. Others are in therapy for a year or more. We will work together to determine a realistic idea of what you can expect, and check in regularly throughout treatment to re-evaluate your timeline.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. I offer both in person and telehealth services. I see clients in person in my office in Reno, NV, and am able to provide telehealth sessions to clients in both Nevada and California due to my being licensed in both states. I use a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. Telehealth is particularly useful if you are feeling under the weather, live far from my office location, lack reliable transportation, or the actual weather makes driving unideal.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. You are required to contact me by voice call or email at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time to cancel or reschedule. If your failure to do so results in a day-of late cancellation or no-show (not appearing for your scheduled appointment), you will be charged for the full cost of the session. Be aware that insurance companies do not reimburse for missed sessions.
